Under attack????This morning, around 630am, while i was standing outside (balcony) and tried to get some
fresh air. I saw something very interesting and i almost late to the company bcos of it.
When i look towards the north-west...i saw lightning... very much like the one i ve seen in
ID4 and war of the worlds. The lightning strikes continuously with some rythm... red color..
not really bright.. just red in color and no sound could be heard. At that moment my brain
went blank... suddenly chill feeling strikes me and i keep talking to myself :"this is it!
we r doomed!!! " hahha... probably i watched too many movies which 'spoiled' my mind. Just
cant help it la. So i took out my cell phone and took the video of this strange scene.
Will show to u guys one day.
the islandwatched it on sunday after my karaoke session in redbox low yat.
wat i will say about this movie :
Good but not so good hahhaha y is it so? well, bcos didnt really like the director Mr Bay very
much. May be i ve seen his works on Pearl Harbor and Armaggedon which i m not really impressed.
Enjoy it, merely bcos it is sci-fi + action movie. I will say it is the combination of
Minority report + paycheck (high-tech + chase/run)... another reason y i watchin it bcos
i kinda like Ewan McGregor and i wanna see scarlett johanson (kenny said she got nice pair of
boo-boo hahhaha )
The movie is basically divided into 2 parts. The first half showing how high-tech in the year 2019 (as i was told by the film). While the second half is where all the actions stuffs. The
movie tells us how technology will benefit us (we can live longer.... can change parts just
like cars changing its spare parts) and how it destroys us (killing 'humans' for parts). Clones
also human la...how can they do this .. sigh... once again the phrase 'science execute religious' playing in my mind. Religion tells us God made us... but now we can play the role of God by the aid of science! In the movie there was one scene where Lincoln(the clone) ask :"who is God?" the 'Real' human answered :"When we close our eyes and wished for something we badly
wanted, God is the guy who always ignore us!" hahhahah wat a joke! Another scene is where Lincoln and Jordan felt from 70 floors and survive it! A 'ke-le feh' said to them :"Oh.. jesus.. i always knew that Jesus love u!" hahhahahahhaha
Pros: 1. sci fi + actions
2. actors/actresses done a good job
cons: 1. too long (2 hours and 20 mins)
2. the way Bay shot the film sucks!!!! cause me miserable headache!
3. Doesnt make sense to me that, how Lincoln 6 Echo looked exactly same
age with the real Tom Lincoln. How the clone grow so fast one? strange..
this is the mystery...

War of the worldsI just watched War of The Worlds(WoTW) for the second time yesterday
with my housemates after i ve seen it with my 2 other buddies who
were claimed to be sci-fi geeks and spielberg's die hard fans.
Even though i watch it for the second time, but still i enjoy
the whole 117 mins of massacre.
Hahaha apparently I m a Steven Spielberg's worshipper...
suddenly i have an urge to watch Empire of The Sun cos i heard
it was a must-watch movie from spielberg. May be when the time
the movie was first released, i was too young to appreciate
his work. Well, anyone out there can lend me the dvd or cd for
this movie huh???
come back to WoTW...
This is the third time spielberg bringing aliens issues to BIG SCREEN,
since Close Encounter of The Third Kind (CE) --- 1979 and E.T ---1982.
Of course he also involved in the production of aliens related miniseries
such as Taken in the year 2002. From all of his ufo-logies movies, spielberg is trying to bring us different kinda aliens:
1. CE--- they came to us without hostility
2. E.T --- lost and suffers nostalgia
3. Taken --- advanced and intelligent, they are scientists...
4. WoTW --- cruel, exterminate everything whoever come near them, desperate and less advanced...
This time, spielberg made the movie's pace even faster (faster than A.I hahah...).
And the screenplay really really showing the professionalism of spielberg and Koepp.
While looking at all the people dying, screaming... i really can feel the pressure
and my heart was beating fast (thx to the superb sound and visual effects... they are awesome!)
and i was even having nightmare on saturday night.. sigh...
Most of my friends (who never read the original book and watch the original movie) found the
ending is so draggy and abrupt.. of course la.. they actually hoping we NUKE the 'mothership'
just like ID4... hahhaha i also lazy to explain anything to them anymore...
Well, they also cant accept that tom cruise survived throughout the whole show.. and Justin
Chatwin unbelievably survived too... but this is movie mah... if tom died during half way of the
show.. i m sure they also will hv some complaints too..
No surprises from dakota fanning as i ve watched so many of her better works.. WoTW is just too
easy for her...
as for Tom, he is still remain young and handsome at his age of 42... hahha guess he will be
the next dennis quaid if he continues playing the role as a Heroic Father!
This time I only can see 'tripods' walking in the city, no more hovering.. sigh... i actually hoping to see some UFOs... hahaha
conclusion is... spielberg is still spielberg. for sure i will watch this movie again and again and again.. just like ID4.. hahaaa
